CALL FOR ARTISTS! THE 29TH ANNUAL CLIFTON ARTS & MUSICFEST, which will be held on Saturday, June 18th, is looking for fine artists and craftspersons to display and sell their work. EARTHFEST 2016 ART POETRY & ESSAY CONTEST sponsored by Hope and Stanley Adelstein and Earth Day Coalition will focus on the theme of Clean Transportation. The contest is open to K-12 students in the Greater Cleveland area. All entries will be judged on the students’ understanding of the environmental topic, creativity, and originality. Class discussion of the topic prior to creating the contest is encouraged. ENGLISH COUNTRY DANCE will be held 8-10 pm on Friday, March 11 and every second Friday at St Patrick Church at 3606 Bridge Ave. in the Oak Room. Dance partner not required. Dances are taught and called. Free will offering.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO KNIT/CROCHET FOR AREA KIDS to make gloves, scarves, hats, etc. for area children. CLEVELAND PUBLIC THEATRE is sponsoring its Student Theatre Enrichment Program (STEP) for teens ages 14-19. From June 20 – August 12, Monday through Friday from 4 pm to 9 pm, teens work with professional artist-mentors. Youth receive bus tickets and healthy snacks, and those who successfully complete the program will earn a $300 stipend and will perform in city parks all over Cleveland.
