Alduroobi cooked several dishes to share at the festival: a traditional Iraqi rice and chicken dish and a vegetarian dish called Dolma that includes stuffed grape leaves, stuffed cabbage leaves, onions and eggplant.

  1. I just read Roldo’s article “2017 — A terrible year for democracy here” from the January 2018 Plain Press. He is accurate about how this city is mismanaged. I still do not understand how the petitioners caved in so easily. The mayor and NBA were in cohoots to stop this vote. The NBA Went back on its word of awarding the all star game. It is time to dust off those petitions AND force a vote NOW!! They should also take out petitions to limit terms of council and mayor to 2 terms only. Also, force out any politician who is double dipping AND ban it fot ALL city employees.
